We work with your club admins to set initial levels.
Initial levels are assigned to players in 3 main ways:
- The majority of initial levels are calculated automatically by the system. Based on an individual’s initial matches we use all possible information to calculate their initial level (results, partners, opponents). The system automatically adjusts these initial levels when appropriate.
- Automatic initial levels set by admins. The system automatically adjusts these initial levels based on matches but has a more complete starting point.
- Anchors set by admins. Players whose initial levels are set and locked by a club admin. These players will act as points of reference to calibrate players connected to them. See Anchors FAQ for more details
The system can take a few matches per player to settle so admins need to keep an eye on player levels during these early stages. If players need to be adjusted then the admin can do that at any time within the levelling tool.
