When an organisation wants to send results to our system for level processing it's important that we all comply with GDPR as this process involves sending personal player data to a third party system - ours.
GDPR rules allow us to use legitimate interest as the basis for sending player results across - i.e. it's in the interest of all parties to do so to provide the benefits for both the organisation and the players. To allow this, the organisation must inform their players that this is happening via an active mechanism such as email backed up by the same information being clearly stated in the T&Cs of their own platform.
It's important to state that they don't need the consent of the players. That doesn't work because it needs all the players in a match to consent before they can send the match results over - half of whom may not want that result to come across! With consent based results transfer we only get a fraction of the results we need and it doesn't work.
Here's a SquashLevels example. Please update as needed for your specific sport or needs.
